Jab is pretty much useless against a southpaw with a quick left. the counter is a quick straight right, which JJ does not have.

Joyce is slow and plodding , Zhang’s quick left trigger gonna hurt him again. Joyce needs to hold hug and make it a little dirty.

Hold and what ? Naw needs to protect his face and fire off first is more the point. this is not going to be a repeat of his past performence on either side of the ring. This one is going to be different. That is how they should have sold this fight as..... "This time, this fight is going to be different" sub titled 37 v 40 who is going to get old first ? Who will show a dif stance.? Some fighters go for step aside money it happens. Some platforms go for the peoples pockets(Damzone) while others go for there love of the sport (ESPN PLUS) several stories playing out here right now. Enjoy the fights forget the build up..............

I am taking Joyce in the rematch. Glad I have ESPN +. This could be tremendous fight with Joyce fighting focused and desperate, and Zhang defending his new position as a top contender and likely getting his biggest payday.

All Joyce has to do is not get hit by every punch for the first 7 rounds. After that he will win by TKO with his workrate.

His chin is solid, but he needs to protect his face. Bring the hands closer together and let Zhang **** the gloves for a few rounds until he loses the pop. Then unleash the never ending combination that he has used to destroy his other opponents.

Easier said than done but on paper I still see this more as a difficult fight for Zhang. He has to get rid of Joyce, who has a granite chin and a monster workrate. It's not an easy task for a guy who always has problems in the later rounds. I always pick the fighter who has multiple paths to victory and in this fight it is Joyce.

Now, what makes this a close and exciting fight is the fact that Joyce has taken so much punishment. I'm 100% sure this will start to show very soon and he will lose the chin that he has relied on in so many of his fights. I can see a stoppage win for either guy and I can see a Joyce winning on points. None of these outcomes seem more likely than the others and it'll be great to see what happens.

Lots of respect to both fighters for taking this fight instead of waiting around for a title shot or fighting guys with a 0-0, 0 KOs record.
