Haney decision to fight Regis is to avoid Shakur. If he loses his fight against Regis, and Shakur wins the 135 belt, Haney will not come back to 135 to fight Shakur for the belt.

How much did WBC $$$ pocket to hold up 135 Div. That's just the WBC, going be vacant belts soon enough. Gets a gift decision avoids his mandatory but gets champion in recess??? Why does anyone give a **** what the WBC says or does? There trash, from 24 hr deadline to champion in recess. Please seriously there is no system at all. That's why Mma and UFC took over. When WBC allowed this to happen and profited from it is no different then WWE chosing who's champion. Nothing to do with fighting or actual skills nah . Boxing is doomed by the orgs that run them.

Never! Did you see Prograis last fight? Most boxing fans thought he got outpointed and lost. In addition, he was dropped in the first round too but the referee missed it. Moreover, Haney is a much better fighter than Prograis’ last opponent.

I’m not mad at this fight because I love the Regis fight but just seems like Haney is getting a safety net here. He loses to Regis he drops down where he’s champ anyway. He wins he has the choice of divisions and will go around bragging he’s champ at two weight classes meanwhile holding up 135.
