Ennis is right! A rematch between Spence and Crawford is completely unnecessary at any weight, due to Spence's one sided drubbing in the first fight.

Everybody seems to be enamored by Crawford's performance against Spence. Something was off with Spence that night. He probably would have lost because he doesn't have the movement to beat Crawford, but he shouldn't have lost like that. Crawford is good but Ennis is a completely different fighter and I believe he will beat Crawford.

Crawford-Ennis, I'm down for that. Not interested in a Crawford-Spence rematch.

I give Boots a better chance than the Spence we saw last weekend.

Crawford still spanks him, but still.

Boots is one hell of a fighter in every sense of the word but he happens to be sharing a division with a GOAT level all time great hall of famer who has shown no signs of slipping and coming off one of the best performances in boxing history. The dude has his work cut out for him. In any other era or time he would likely become a champion boxer but man did he pick a wrong time and weight to make a run at becoming a champion.

Spence is moving up. And although it would be a great fight, Bud probably won't face him because it does nothing for him right now. Unfortunate for Boots, just bad timing.

Ennis is right. Rematch is given only if the fight was close or the decision was controversial. The loser has to fight other boxers and prove once more that he is already a better fighter and fit for a probable rematch. Then, he can challenge the winner again.

I always maintained that Spence would have avoided ennis like the plague due to Ennis doing absolutely everything better than Spence. Against Crawford, the advantage I give to the champion is experience and ring generalship. Speed seems even. Power is Ennis. Am I saying ennis beats Crawford? No. I am saying ennis has better tools than Spence in a matching of styles

“Bud did his thing,” Ennis told YSM Sports Media. “Spence was just off", and flat.

                      Spence was just off???

Crawford was prepared to, "do his thing", Spence was not, and got the brakes beat off of him.

Give Crawford the respect for just being the better boxer and the best prepared, and all things being equal, don't make excuses for Spence for not being fully prepared.
