After the extended shellacking Spence took from the 3rd round until the end, I truly wonder what he now has left. It may be now gone and the additional 7 pounds will only extend the next, likely career-ending shellacking. One also wonders if Spence is up to a six month turn-around given he has essentially been a part-timer for almost five years now. And if he does get ready for Nov-Dec, does he fall apart eve quicker?

I truly feel for the guy. He seems very sincere and he has been a fine champion; a stand-up man as demonstrated when questioned of the loss.

I expect any prime he previously had is now long gone, and I worry about his longterm health.

Yep even bud stated the first was a flash knock down

That fight goes the distance. Canelo is not going to knock Jermell out. He is too slow and flat-footed with poor stamina. If Mell could stick and move; He not only has a good chance of going the distance but also winning the fight. If Dmitry Bivol and Floyd Money Mayweather could outpoint Alvarez then so can Jermell Charlo.

I asked a few friends this question. How would Spence handle getting hurt, if he got hurt? I gave Spence a chance because he never gets hurt (except once early in his career). He continues to walk through punches until he gets to his man. He has a lot of boxing fundamentals, but his strength is his relentlessness and ability to not get hurt.

But Crawford is a different breed. I felt Crawford could hurt Spence. I wondered how Spence would react when hurt. Some fighters get knocked down, but still remain poised.

I knew Spence was in trouble after the first knockdown. He lost all poise and focus.

I knew that Spence would most likely get stopped after the second knock down. He was rattled and hurt.

he ran into a superior fighter. If Bud hadn’t stopped all his opponents at WW or if Spence looked weak chinned in his fights post car accident you might have a point. But neither are true. He ran into a better guy w real power and he lost. It’s boxing. **** happens. Win some lose some. Nothing to be ashamed of
Granted he lost conclusively without a doubt. He would have been beat even if he showed up at Heavyweight. He didn’t have game plan other than press the action. Zero IQ . All that I’m stating is he look shopworn. He was notably slower than usual. Saturday he thought the best opponent in his career by a country mile and got exposed the tactics Crawford used and the flaws they noticed about Errol. Errol at 150% would still get beat. Even I’m looking at his flaws and thinking he is garbage and I’m his biggest fan.

However, Spence has not been the same fighter since that car accident. It left him permanently damaged but not ruined.

For example: He has fought only a total of three times in four years since his unification bout with Shawn Porter.

However, he has only himself to blame. It was self-inflicted wound. At 2 o’clock in the morning; When everyone is asleep in bed.

He is out at the strip clubs partying with his friends. Which caused that accident.

It's easy to see now how I talked myself into believing something other than what my eyes were seeing.

Spence's chin definitely appeared questionable in the Ugas fight. I watched Spence vs Algieri 2 days prior to Saturday's bout and even Chris was able to time Errol's jab coming in, he just didn't have the ability to take advantage of it. Brook, Danny, Porter Ugas all had success when they let their hands go. Errol was there to be hit.

The signs of imminent destruction were always there, Bud just had the ability to exploit it it all. Credit to him.

True, however in his case it nearly cost him his life in that car accident because he was driving while intoxicated as he was leaving the club.

Some people need to abstain from such activities because too much of a good thing is not always good for some people because they tend to over indulge this themselves.

                    Do you agree?

Watch his legs when he got up. He was hurt! I was actually shocked that he was visibly hurt.
