Even if he does.. it’s still not enough. Spence>Tapales

Inoue will have gone up to 122 and beaten the best 2 at the weight. In addition to everything else on his resume you at least have to discuss it.

If that’s the case then why was Inoue ranked P4P after beating a 40 year old Donaire that’s lost to everyone above average he’s ever faced?

Donaire had been stopped by Walters, beaten by Rigo, lost every round to Frampton & lost every round to Jessie Magdaleno. Then lost a few nights ago to Jovanie Santiago.

A 40 year old Donaire isn’t a better win than Viktor Postol at the time, nor stopping Shawn Porter.. Iet alone Spence. Gamboa was probably a better win.. he was undefeated, P4P and the odds were much closer.

I get you. But Tapales was stopped in Japan a few fights ago by a C level fighter. Spence vs Bud was a 50/50 - I don’t think anyone is rubbing their hands together for Inoue vs Tapales.

I have a top 3 p4p, Usyk, Inoue & now Bud in no particular order.
But i will say you don't get any I'm the A-side bs 5 year's of marrinating like you do from bud, they make (or try to) the next legacy fight.

Inoue 4 divisons are from 108 to 122. Thats 14 pounds.

Bud 3 divisons are from 135 to 147. Thats 12 pounds.

Yall gotta stop acting like monster made some crazy weight rise.

              Bud is number 1 p4p

While Inoue's performance was great, I was a little reluctant to label him no.1 before the weekend. I think the manner in which Crawford beat Spence makes him the p4p #1. I feel it was a more dominant performance against a more accomplished fighter even though Fulton is closer to his prime than Spence.

Stop it. You had Inoue & Uysk 1 and 2. Now all of a sudden after Bud’s made history and has the best win of this era it’s no particular order and take a shot at Bud. I’m not sure what some of you people have against admitting Bud is the P4P #1.

I agree Crawford is. I just think Inoue is closer than most.

At times it can seem like this debate is the equivalent of debating how many angels fit on the head of a pin... I mean its creative, and people have some compelling reasons for their picks... But its hard to objectively determine this measure. I am content to have a 5 fighter pound for pound, or so... Otherwise how do we measure a prime Stephen Fulton versus a possibly damaged Spence? etc, etc. Not an easy category to determine.
