Thank you. I was wondering what causes jaw bone infection.

Either he broke a tooth and never got it treated so it became infected at the root or he's used to chewing tobacco dip ect. I caught such from the later shh either way a jaw infection is no joke whole face is on fire. Thought had fn jaw cancer turned out an infection enough to make you quit dipping on spot. He should be back to normal in 6 weeks( you gotta eat so irrates site) less they left bone fragments in the site after surgery then maybe 12 after it heals over n the body spits the shrapnel (fragments) out. Had alot of injuries from meniscus tears to rotator cuff to even a broken rib. A jaw infection ratatws #1 by far the whole fn face is on fire your ready to shoot yourself

Osteomyelitis is a serious infection in a bone.... traveling through the bloodstream or spreading from nearby tissue. May be an abscessed tooth caused it. Very serious. Hope he gets some good treatment right away. Worry about the fight later. Now is the time to address the situation and heal.

I can't imagine what else it could be? I bet he probably just had an abscessed tooth and the infection got onto the bone of the gum. Probably had dental surgery and will be ready a few weeks later than planned. How else do you get an infected jaw anyways?

Beterbiev just cannot seem to make a calendar year totally healthy. Hopefully this is more of a "clean up" to get a localized infection from getting bigger as opposed to something already spreading.

He cannot keep gong like this. At his age, he needs to be fairly active (2 fights a year) to stay sharp. All these health issues and long lay-offs will spell an ugly end for him against a quality opponent he would otherwise beat. There are a few boxers out there I think the sport really benefits from having around. I believe Artur brings an excitement that so few others bring and I do hope we have a couple more years to enjoy him.

I had a friend who had an infected jaw. They said it was due to something in his blood and bone marrow. They removed like 4 teeth; sawed into his jaw and took a small robotic machine and did the work. He had to get false teeth and had his jaw wired in 4 places, plus pins and 2 screws. It was 12 weeks before he could open his mouth bro. He was in all kinds of serious trouble, also dropped about 25 lbs. They kept him on antibiotics for 3 months, which will weaken your body. Now that is some scary stuff. Hopefully it’s not some type of cancer like CLL! Get better Champ!
BTW pretty Blue Pit in the pics. I’m a breeder

I feel Bivol will beat him pretty bad if this fight ever happens. Beterbiev will be about 40 than.
