Why do you feel Crawfotd vs. Thurman, makes more than Crawford vs. Boots? By your logic, Crawford should fight Pacquiao!
Your Ali vs Fraizer and Sugar vs Duran example doesn't make sense, and also your Canelo vs Mayweather example.
Canelo was a unified champion who was coming off a sensational unification victory over then undefeated Austin champion Austin Trout.
Austin Trout had just schooled the legendary Miguel Cotto and a lot of people actually claimed that Mayweather was ducking Trout and would never fight him.
Canelo was not a prospect or contender like Ennis, he was a unified champion.
Ali was also a world champion when he fought Fraizer. He had beaten the beast back then Sonny Liston and knocked him out.
Duran was a multiple division champion and contrary to popular belief, he didn't jump two weight classes to fight Leonard.
Duran had a record of 8-0 at welterweight when they fought. He was a fully fledged welterweight. His whole jumping two weight classes legacy is a myth.
Yes Hopkins lost to Jones, but they were around the same age at the time and both were pretty much inexperienced.
Finally, I'm not discouraging Ennis from calling out Bud nor am I saying that he doesn't deserve the fight or shouldn't take it
I'm merely pointing out that Thurman is ahead of him in the pecking order, and that's a fact.Hotsauce91 likes this.
