Comments Thread For: Jermell Charlo: Tim Tszyu Was My Challenger But He Does Nothing For My Career, Still Needs To Build Himself Up

Jermell has not ruled out a return to the junior middleweight division or an eventual showdown with Tim Tszyu. Neither are a priority, or even a motivational factor at the moment.

Tszyu is a bigger name than Castano.

Castano had the last belt and was the last piece to the puzzle to become undisputed. Don’t leave that part out.

I totally agree w Charlo here.

Haymon's advice: "There's a bigger fight on the horizon. Stall the Tszyu fight. Just keep discrediting his achievements."

Castano had a belt. Tszyu doesn't.

Canelo is not only a much harder fight than Tszyu but also a much bigger paycheck. So your logic here is ridiculous.

I.e: the check was smaller and I’d have to give up more of my purse to make the fight makes sense for Al.

just admit this was a business move, folks seem keen to accept that.

Everybody knows the Canelo fight is bigger money. Whether he could have fought Tszyu in the interim is what is at issue. He was stalling with his "hand injury" that took way too long to heal.

What I found telling last night was when they asked him about inactivity and he said he’d been in the gym for months.

guess that hand WAS healed after all.

Now what will Errol's loss do for Jermell's confidence going up 14 whole lbs to fight a sturdy, tremendously strong puncher in Canelo? Jermell, get ready, lift ur weights, do ur sprints, run ur stairs, train ur neck. Ur getting crushed but hey, at least the pay is good.
