    Saul Alvarez Appreciation thread.

Looking at Canelo's boxing resume he beat and fought plenty of great and good boxers during his prime. At 33 I hope he still has some motivations to get a rematch against Bivol. Unlike Julio Cesar Chavez who beat and fought plenty of Mexican Cab and Taxi Drivers. Canelo beat plenty of hall of famers. Saul Alvarez in my opinion is the greatest mexican boxer of all time. Even his greatest hater Juan Manuel Marquez is starting to hate him

Are you for real? The hof he beat, were well past their prime, and in some cases he was given the nod undeserved.

His rivals are SRR, Greb, Armstrong, Langford, Charles and Duran.

Not taxi driver merchant Chavez or piss drinker Marquez. Never use them at the same sentence with Nelo again.

respect earned!! a lot of posters wanna diss canelo because of dirty piss test, controversy win over GGG and loss to bivol but if you look at canelo's career, his resume is stacked. he has earned the right to do whatever he wants from this point on.

Look at the Canelo infatuated pha66ot. Someone mentions Canelo and his ears turn into pistol grips, Vaseline starts squirting out of his nose, and back go his special made garage door teeth.

That said Canelo if a HOF fighter with a helluva resume.

            Very good fighter

A couple of gift decisions though, never truly good enough to beat GGG until he was over 40. Think he was lucky to get the decision over Lara too, its a shame he never made a rematch to settle it without any doubt.

Not sure why anyone thought he could beat Bivol either but at least he tried, so I don't knock him for that. He's totally ducked the rematch too, which I new he would.

Aside from all that and being caught as a drug cheat he's still had a very good career and is a good fighter. Even if you remove the gift decisions, he still has plenty of good wins.

What's with the Chavez Sr disrespect to hype up Canelo? What's wrong with keeping busy with journeymen? Literally half of Canelo's resume composed of journeymen.

Chavez fought 24 former and current world champions. (18-4-2) and I doubt that's going to be easy to accomplish in today's boxing without the likes of Pac and Mayweather.

Canelo has a better career, resume AND achievements than any fighter born in Cuba, HATER.

                GGG was in prime.

Inoue only good win agsinst a HOF was a very old donaire.

Crawford has 35 years and 0 wins agsinst Hof, same Spence.

Canelo vs current/former/future world titlists (not counting interim or Regular titlists like Trout or Fielding):
W vs Miguel Vazquez SD 4
W vs Miguel Vazquez UD 10
W vs Carlos Baldomir KO 6
                    W vs Lovemore N'dou UD 12
W vs Kermit Cintron TKO 5
W vs Shane Mosley UD 12
L vs Floyd Mayweather Jr MD 12
W vs Erislandy Lara SD 12 (I had Lara winning this one)
W vs Miguel Cotto UD 12
W vs Amir Khan KO 6
W vs Liam Smith KO 9
W vs Julio Cesar Chavez UD 12
D vs Gennadiy Golovkin SD 12 (should've been a loss)
W vs Gennadiy Golovkin MD 12 (should've been a loss)
W vs Daniel Jacobs UD 12
W vs Sergey Kovalev KO 11
W vs Callum Smith UD 12
W vs Billy Joe Saunders RTD 8
W vs Caleb Plant TKO 11
L vs Dmitry Bivol UD 12
W vs Gennadiy Govokin UD 12

Even though he deserved the L in the first 2 GGG fights and he easily could've lost the Lara fight, he's still an easy Hall of Famer and one of the greatest of this generation.
