GGG was still considered a beast when they fought the first time. I'd also add that it's no simple feat to go from light middle all the way to light heavy and face guys like Kovalev (past prime), Bivol and Callum Smith.

Sure enough he's had his clauses and judges that paved the way to wins in most cases. I'm not saying he deserves all the glory he gets. He definitely lost at least one fight to GGG and Kovalev was basically a shadow of himself in their meeting. But he deserves some credit for challenging himself constantly. Not many guys in modern boxing can say that.
