MOSLEY would KO him 100 % ,and WILLIAMS would stop him in 6 rounds.
Who was the undisputed WW champ at the time.

Mosley was at 154 (and had a toothache), Williams was an up-and-coming prospect and Cotto was at 140 (and didn't want any parts of Floyd).

He might be too good for any ww, but I can't say for certain until he does it first.

I don't need a link, everyone remembers Arum saying that Cotto was not ready for Floyd. I've also never heard Cotto say he wants to fight Floyd, especially circa 2006. All he ever says is "my job is to train hard and fight whoever they (his company/promoter) put in front of me"

Who's talking about WW resumes? Of course Cotto's is better. That's not the argument here.

Watch both fights. If you seriously believe Floyd was more hurt than Cotto when they were both doing their worst, you gotta be delusional. Cotto had to resort to low blows to get Zab to back off.
i (and many people) would disagree. 43 punches is plenty, but not a lot

i mean, it is a lot if you compare it to floyd's punch output, but come on, 43 isn't a lot, especially when 360 of judah's 459 punches thrown were freaking jabs

Because I was replying to a dude that said Foyd only fought Baldomir because of his losses, and that's why he didn't take on Shane, Williams, or Cotto. Can't you just read the post that I quoted?

And just what does Miguel Cotto think of the handpicking, sidestepping and excuse-making antics of Mayweather? "That's the thing he does for his entire career. He run from the really good boxer kind, he choose the others. I don't know how the people who know about boxing put him in the first place in the pound-for-pound champion."

Those are pretty heavy words from Cotto who will not speak negatively about anyone in boxing. The other reporters at the press conference don't seem interested in probing Cotto about Mayweather's reluctance, so I will. Do you think Mayweather actually is afraid of you? "I don't know what kind of reason he has for choosing another fighter. If you want to be the best you have to fight the best."

You actually believe you will beat Floyd don't you? "I'm pretty sure of that," answers Cotto. When asked why he believes so: "Because of my training. Because of my - I trust a lot in myself. And I'm always do more than 100% in my training sessions."

Cotto says he sees vulnerablilities in Mayweather which he knows how to exploit. "He's quick. He's fast. But when you put pressure on him he closes his mind."

Cotto is such a gentleman you will not hear him say anything worse about Mayweather than that. No, it wasn't Cotto who referred to Mayweather as "Fraud Gayweather," that was Antonio Margarito, who similarly was avoided by Mayweather two years ago. Maybe Cotto's only chance to get his fists on Floyd is to insult and ridicule the hypocritical WBC champ, such as Antonio Tarver had to do to get at Roy Jones.

43 by itself is not a huge number, but under the circumstances of both fights, it is a pretty significant amount in my opinion. That's what I was trying to say. Another factor that no one seems to mention is that Zab didn't do **** since the Floyd fight, he practically had a one year layoff when he met Cotto. I know that he also was coming of a loss when he fought Floyd, but at least he had been active.

Everyone talks like if Cotto annihilated Judah, and Floyd just barely won a boxing match. I pointed out that Zab landed more against Cotto to show that was not the case.

These fights work as great examples to showcase the differences between Cotto and Floyd. Floyd outboxes and outsmarts you, and you barely land anything on him, whereas Cotto might take more punches, but he gets the KO in the end.
