He didnt stick with it long enough to be noticed, or to develop his ability to that level. I highly doubt there was a bunch of guys in some gym in Cameroon who made him look like a chump in comparison though.I'm also calling bull**** on the narrative that Francis became so dominant in MMA because he has innate boxing ability. At grass roots level, in Africa, boxing is way bigger and more popular than MMA. If Francis had boxing talent, as well as size and power, that would have been noticed, doors would have opened for him, and he would never have gone into MMA.
His success in MMA comes from his size, strength, athleticism for his size and punching power. It also helped that hes come up in an era where the overall level of grappling at HW isnt very good.
We are in agreement on that. I dont think he would have been some monster in boxing but I dont see him as a "failed" boxer either.Comment

because AJ is a champion of many different causes, he wants people to boycott certain shops, hes making a statement about the state of boxing orgs by throwing usyks belts out of the ring (not his belts tho), coming back from adversity and mental health issues, dealing with pressure, surviving without rematch clauses (not easy), telling people hes addressed his shortcomings (noone believes him tho) & giving stumble bum who wont even promote the fight another paydayComment
