Godzilla was quicker of thought and with quicker hands and quicker feet than Fulton (who is no slouch).
That you watch boxing with your son is utterly lovely!

Fulton is no slouch indeed, but he's also too kind-hearted. Inoue is killer-cold, just look at his eyes.

I give credit to Fulton for flying 7k miles to defend his belts against the Monster. Few would have done that, I believe.

Yes, I'm sure he got paid well for that ass whipping. I noticed he wasn't very gracious in defeat. He didn't congratulate Inoue at all.

Sub, I noticed that too. Poor sportsmanship to say the least. He talked all that schitt before the fight, but had nothing to say after. Cat must’ve had his tongue

Any sane fighter in his position would have done the same so I dont really see it as heroic move.

Fulton fights in an obscure weight division and he wouldnt see the same payday in America so he jumped on it.

He knows I'm an addict - been seeing me watching fights since he was a nipper and he's 20 now. he's a gamer so I think the fact that there's a boxer called The Monster definitely piqued his curiosity.

another thing is Inoue's athleticism and timing. Did you notice that he delivered the left hook on Fulton's chin with BOTH feet off the ground and as Fulton was falling - to think quickly enough to do it, to launch himself as quickly as he did and then to actually connect rather than miss wildly was exhilarating to watch.

reportedly 8 figures - which is amazing for a 122lb fight

I didn't say it was heroic, I just gave him credit for it, given today's boxing climate and Inoue's destructive power. There are plenty of boxers who have turned down big paydays to duck an ass whipping. More importantly, Fulton was the champion. Inoue would have been more than happy to come to the US for the fight. Flying all the way to Japan a mere two weeks before the fight did not benefit Fulton.
