I'm not particularly fond of the PBC, especially at welterweight, because they were ducking Crawford this whole time and basically invented the "side of the street" nonsense. Not that cross-promo fights weren't hard to make before, but they institutionalized it to avoid Crawford. In their defense, Crawford likely shouldn't have reupped with Top Rank, but the PBC guys barely fight each other so that's no guarantee he would have gotten fights anyways. And I remember Spence's face after Bud stopped Porter. Ran out of the arena and didn't get in the ring to challenge as if he actually wanted this fight.
Just glad we might actually get this fight, barring injuries and head clashes, etc. Hopefully the judges and ref aren't relevant either.Comment

I think he will fight Ugas in August or September! He's hoping Ugas was broken by Spence!
Agree I saw a long interview with Thurman recently. He acts like he's still the champ and it's 2017. He may act like he's interested in titles. He's interested in $$$ cashing out big and dint sound like he was looking for anything that dint pay more then he's worth. Um he's definitely a PBC fighter, I mean he rarely fights anymore right, how many fights has he had in last 5-6 years? Gets lit up by less then top 10 guys along the way. Looked good the first 1/2 of Barrios fight then totally faded. He couldn't take out a guy that moved up 7 lbs and was KOed by Davis who moved up in weight to fight him before that. Mind you there was a hydration clause in there the media choose not to bring up conveniently. But Thurman crazy he acts he's the **** he's kidding himself. Nobody actually believes hes beating anybody. Watch Al come up with 154 lb hair brain **** for him. Hes done be done regardless just thirsty for one more big paycheck is anybody really buying his weak ****
PS he's afraid of Boots yup!

I might of heard that recently. That actually makes sense. I guess I was skeptical it happened thinking Thurman would avoid that but let's see. I wanted Charlo Tyzu guess not. Why is Boots not calling out Stanionis? PBC could make that? Ortiz not in the mix after 3rd strike does Boots have Mando coming? If there's rematch it's coming in 6-8 months less. Boots not singed to Al right he's Showtime right see what happensComment

Boots has already said he wants to fight Stanionis! However I think Stanionis wants a fight ASAP! Boots probably won't fight until November/December, and i'm sure Stanionis wants something NOW, since he's been out of the ring so long! Hopefully Stanionis gets Crowley or Barrios soon!

He said he would love to fight Stanionis, in the post-fight conference, after fighting Villa. Before he fought Karen, he said Al Haymon said he would get Stanionis or Thurman, then Ortiz, who was WBO #1, petitioned for Stanionis, instead of Crawford. Boots petitioned for Spence! The IBF made Boots "Interim Champion," and gave Spence 90 days to fight Boots, or vacate. Spence made the deal with Crawford, but it's interesting that had he not, he was going to fight Thurman @ 154, instead of Boots @ 147! NOBODY is in a rush to fight Boots @ 147! Boots not being signed to Al Haymon doesn't help either! Even Crawford finally signed a 2-fight deal with Haymon!

Agree I can see why Ortiz went after Stanionis. What a mess for Stanionis. Boots seems to be avoided and I like the guy. Crawford was saying he never heard about Boots wanting to fight be recently and address it. I'm all for boots n Spence getting to it. Skeptical it happens. Suspect Spence moving up after He completed one or two fight with Crawford more so if he loses but who knows. Boots having a hard time landing big name or title. Title might come first.
