Comments Thread For: Spence: I Was Willing To Sacrifice A Payday And Another Win To Wait On Terence

Errol Spence was in his right to take another fight earlier this year and force Terence Crawford to wait on him for a dream fight. That thought never crossed the unified welterweight titlist's mind. The decision by the unbeaten Texan to dig in and negotiate directly with Crawford was the driving force to produce their

He could've literally fought Keith Thurman, or anybody not named David Avanesyan, and it still would've been a better fight than what we got from Terence, jackass....

Man stated he has had a drink since the accident but you still choose to spew. Sounds like some nervous energy. If Bud has all these tools and is just worlds apart better than Spence that means it's another easy payday for Bud and he'll be a two division undisputed champ.

If he tried he would have got the fight in a heartbeat he never wanted Thurman and has made that clear for years, the media and fans jumped on the fight there was never a single word from Spence about Thurman, go through my history I said right at the start he will not fight Thurman.

Why all the bitterness and hate from you I don't get it, this the greatest sport on earth and all you do is hate on guys, I really don't get the mentality I was a teenager a long time ago and never felt hate I like you do I just don't understand it.

I don't get the hate here for Spence. This is a fight everyone wanted to see. When important fights like this happen, we should be glad that the two fighters involved made it happen. When it was dragging on and nothing was happening, I thought they both deserved disapproval. Now that it finally is happening, they both deserve some credit.

You could tell Spence was holding off on signing to fight Thurman, because he had his eyes on the bigger prize..... Crawford.

I agree with Spence for not taking a fight with Thurman in the interim. While we give Thurman a hard time, he's a very reputable opponent. While I believe Spence would have punished Thurman's body, there was a possibility that Spence could have faced some damage in that bout that could have affected the Spence VS Crawford matchup.

I love that we're getting Spence VS Crawford. Thurman/Ugas/Boots can have the winner.
