Who cares man lol. Margarito beat Cotto, end of story. Whether he used plaster or not will always be up for debate simply because he was caught prior to the fight after Cotto. Play a little role reversal and I guarantee you'd be crying, "Cotto is a disgrace to Boxing"

It ain't just Cotto fans who believe this either, some of the most reputable figures in Boxing have called Margarito a disgrace. How much more proof do you need to realize the chances of Margarito cheating prior are pretty high? You honestly believe Mosley was going to be his 1st time?

Maybe he saw something with Mosley's style that worried him in the lead-up to the fight. The post you are quoting I mention the fact that he took his sweet time when it came to signing the Mosley fight. And plus it's well documented that he did not keep himself in fighting shape after he beat Cotto. Him and his trainer probably knew he was out of shape and Capitello probably wanted to try something to give their boy a boost. And I kind of really wonder if what Margarito had in his gloves was actual plaster. The California State Athletic Commission claims it is sulfur and calcium. Substances used to make plaster of paris, but not plaster of paris itself. That commission is also crooked like a snake as well, as we have seen with what they did with Robert Guerrero and his deal with Goosen and De La Hoya.

I'm also not making any excuses for Margarito regarding his ass-kicking to Shane Mosley. I think that will always happen period. But I think his fight with Cotto is cut and dry.

That's right. I'm getting to the point of where I want to see Margarito back in action. Fuck it. To let everybody know, I was a Margarito fan at the time when he was putting in his work although infrequently due to things he had no control over like HBO wanting to ****block him for no reason other than his non-glossy record. I became an even bigger fan when he crushed HBO's Rican hype machine that Lampley referred to as a Puerto Rican Julio Caesar Chavez. I guess he didn't look the part in his fights against Mosley and Margarito and here recently Clottey. Where was his body punching?

The thing that made me quit being a fan of Margarito wasn't the fact he got caught with an illegal subtance in his gloves, but the fact that he adopted a me on top of the world attitude and he over valued himself and even went MIA and drug his feet in the Mosley negotiations and he was also unwilling to avenge his loss to Paul Williams and was calling out Manny Pacquiao at the same time. I think that he went into the fight with Mosley out of shape and looked for a last-ditch advantage and it's the first time that Capitello tried to pull something shady. I think Mosley would beat Margarito ten times out ten. I'm not denying that.

But that doesn't change the fact that I view Margarito's style as exciting and all out action, and the fact that the Cotto stans are constantly dwelling on plaster and not accepting the fact that Cotto got beaten at his own game (Body punching, close quarters combat. Cotto did that to his other opponents) is causing me to like the guy again all of a sudden. Why would Margarito constantly nail Cotto with body punches if he had loaded gloves? Can someone answer this for me. Resto landed nothing but head shots on Collins. And Vasquez's face in his third fight with Rafa Marquez looked a hell of a lot worse than Cotto's. Cotto stans are welcome to debate with me and others.

I kind of wonder if Cotto could even beat Angulo. Sure, Cintron came up with a performance that we thought he wasn't capable of. But Angulo is a big ass 154 lber with a pressure style that I believe Cotto may fold under and I've never seen Cotto dominate guys his own size except for Judah and Quintana. Those guys are weak in the mind even though Zab has more pop.
