  • Comments Thread For: Chisora Expects Whyte To Be a Problem Early, Joshua To Win By KO in Nine

Heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora, who fought Dillian Whyte on two occasions, is backing Anthony Joshua to come out on top next month. Earlier this week, Joshua and Whyte officially announced their rematch for August 12 at the O2 Arena in London.

I think Joshua must be a strong, strong favourite. The only way Whyte gives him a problem is if one of those clumsy, looping power shots manges to connect flush from on high. It will be bordering on negligence if Joshua allows that to happen.

The only person Whyte KOd since the B sample went missing is an elderly invalid, a long Covid out patient. If I was Delboy, I would be PO about that head spinning KO.

Timid bodybuilder couldn't KO Franklin. Won't be able to KO Whyte as well.

I expect Joshua by close UD.

A stoppage inside 9 rounds, would be a good performance 'Top level performance'.

But? Joshua may opt to out box Whyte, and systematically beat him up 'If the stoppage or knock out comes then it comes'.

I don't think it would be a good idea for Joshua, to put too much pressure on himself to blast Whyte out.

Skill for skill Joshua is a very capable boxer, and technically he is text book with how he throws his punches 'I don't think he has to just wade forward vs Whyte. Just out box Whyte, put some combinations together and beat him up systematically' etc.

If you're Whyte you just go for it and put it on him and see if he still has that dog in him because what's the point of staying there and getting outboxed and beat up over 12 because that's what will happend if he stands trying to box with him. It's what joshua wants you to do. Turn the heat up on him. Whytes got nothing to lose really people already expecting him to get beat

Its a **** fight. Del Boy himself is not far off Shyte level, had two close fights with him and wasnt as embarrassing against Fury. Tbh if we are insisting on pointless fights for AJ i'd probably rather see AJ/Chisora because at least its a fresh fight and Del Boy is more entertaining in build ups.

AJ will play it safe and box to a decision. I'm expecting this to be a boring fight.

Yes, that is exactly what you do.

Infact? Whyte should of really been more aggressive towards Joshua at the press conference.

But again, it is seemingly looking like Whyte is going down the semi matey matey route 'Same kind of attitude he confronted Tyson Fury with'.

Note: Whyte is saying things like, 'Oh if you mess about, then you will find out'. Whyte knows Joshua is not voluntary going to behave all aggressive toward Whyte during press conferences so, those kind of threats are somewhat irrelevant etc.
