Comments Thread For: Jaron Ennis Breaks Down, Batters, Stops Roiman Villa in Tenth

By Keith Idec - Jaron Ennis left little room for criticism in his second fight of 2023. The undefeated welterweight from Philadelphia broke down Roiman Villa and stopped the courageous contender in the 10th round of their 12-round fight for Ennis' IBF interim welterweight title. Ennis' vicious left-right combination dropped a battered, bloodied Villa and referee David Fields immediately waved an end to their "Showtime Championship Boxing" main event at Boardwalk Hall's Adrian Phillips Theater.

De los Santos is a good fighter, but I don’t trust his gas tank, I think Adorno pulls out a decision if he can with stand the early onslaught. Adorno SD

Good to see Yoelvis back, I like both guys in this bout, though I’m pulling for my boy Taylor, his lack of power is probably gonna get him stopped. Yoelvis mid round TKO

Villa makes it competitive imo, but I don’t see him winning too many rounds . Boots UD, maybe a late TKO

Boots weighed in at 145 again like he he did for the Karen fight. He should be trying to get to that 147 limit everytime IMO.

Ennis will beat Villa up and won't be surprised with an early stoppage.

I agree. I never understand why fighters do that. Especially if they are big fighters.

Just watched the weigh in and there seems to be some funny stuff going on. Villa jumps on the scale and jumps off really quick before he was even supposed to and then quickly starts getting dressed and rehydrating before jumping back on the scale for photos. When Boots steps on he looks shocked that he weighed in so low. He was probably on the 147 target in the hotel room right before hitting the stage. I don't know man, hinky to say the least.
