I have to say that I always kind of liked Martin and found myself pulling for him in his fights.

He's not among the elite but he can give anyone a decent fight with the size, southpaw stance and big power. Other than his blowout loss to AJ, he's usually in entertaining fights even on the losing side: Kownacki, Ortiz, Anderson.

Some decent potential matchups Martin can be placed in that should provide some fireworks.

Martin has grown on me. Didn't like how he got the title and lost it but after that he is in the fight to win it.

Martin is tailor made for Wilder, flat footed, slow and no trace of any head movement. Martin vs Helenius for the WBC Gatekeeper belt would be good.

Martin is practically retired in the PBC house. PBC rising hypejob Frank Sanchez want no part of him. Sanchez's last fight was with Daniel Martz, who Charles already KO'd four years ago. These people's cherrypicking is so blatant. It will make you puke. Why fight a guy who Martin already dismantled 4 years ago? It's not even last year or months. He'd rather fight a leftover, and not Martin. They say it's a business. I agree. But how TF are you going to attract fans when they see fighting mostly leftovers?
