Because he won the first fight by stoppage that’s why.

Bookies (and plenty on here) believe boxing is an absolute sport. You win once, you'll win forever. You lose once, you'll lose forever.

It's not a race where the much faster guy is just faster. It's two guys fighting - nothing is absolute.

Zhang was better, but it was decided by an injury sustained in half a fight.

I think Joyce will win. He'll take punishment for a few rounds but as long as he can stay in there then he'll take over in the second half of the fight.

He takes far too much punishment to be an elite fighter, but he's never really looked like being injured or cut prior to Zhang. And he's taken thousands of shots. Resilience and stamina are his clear strongest attributes - I wouldn't bet against them being the key attributes in this fight.

The line looks about right 50/50 fight.

So did Tony Thompson against David Price, but he was still worse than a 2/1 dog in the rematch.

I wouldn't have been surprised to see Joyce the slight betting favourite again tbh. Lots of room for improvement in his performance. I might put a few quid on him by late stoppage, I think even with the damaged eye he might have got to Zhang down the stretch.

Zhang caught him on the off night. Joyce finishes him this time.

Right so it would be like asking why the odds have drastically shortened between Price-Thompson 1 and 2.

Seems like there’s a glaringly obvious reason.

I dont knock the oddsmakers. This brotha doesn't move his head, and Zhang is a big, durable heavyweight
