It was a learning fight for Anderson, equivalent to Mike Tyson against Tillis or Green. Plenty to work on.
Naturally, fans waiting for the next great American born heavyweight would have preferred a Marvis Frazier moment, given the big push Anderson is getting.
I attribute the distance fight that saw Anderson pushed and clipped to the size of the step-up he braved, and Charles Martin being a world class fighter (albeit briefly) who came in fighting for the extension of his career; complete with an obviously great camp behind him preparing for another opponent when he got this call.

I think his next fight should be against Efe Ajaba. A true 50/50 where the winner gets title shot

50/50? I hope you're wrong about that. Sanchez showed Efe up for what he likely will always be which is a second tier fighter. Certainly beating Efe shouldn't be the reason anyone gets a title shot.

Sanchez vs Anderson for a title shot would make some sense
