Danny Willams is 49 and has been knocked out more than a dozen times. He cant get a license in GB but hes still making money on the euro circuit because he loves the sport. Joe Parker may have the same mentality. It seems Anderson does not.

Very few young men are disciplined enough to bank their money, he most likely will find a woman and an entourage that will drain him ,forcing him to continue, but if his heart is not in it ,talent will only take him so far.

Bernard Hopkins promised his dying mother he'd retire by 40.

Honest assessment from the young man but 1) for a fighter, the mental is important. A hungrier fighter with close to his talent level can derail the plan and 2) Fighters don't get paid on titles or championships; they get paid on how many people want to watch them fight. This kind of statement doesn't increase that number - might even decrease it.

Only one I can really think off is naseem hamed. He retired at 28 never came back and he made good money in boxing obviously he was a big name here in the UK but then he put it into the property and is still wealthy today because of it

Hopefully he does exactly what he says, which would mean he could retire healthy as well as wealthy.
