Offered the chance to fight Luis Ortiz in a WBC title eliminator, ducked it
Offered the chance to fight Kubrat Pulev in an IBF title eliminator, ducked it
Offered the chance to fight Dominic Breazeale with Breazeale putting the WBC title shot he already had in hand on the line, ducked it
Offered the chance to fight Anthony Joshua for the unified WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO world titles, ducked it
Finally fought Oscar Rivas in an eliminator, popped for PEDs, changed gloves after the glove selection meeting, got dropped, barely won
Got his mandatory title status returned to him after getting iced by the ghost of Povetkin and then beating his corpse in a rematch
Got backed into a corner and HAD to fight Fury, got iced

The amazing thing is he somehow convinced the boxing media and fanbase at large that he was getting the short end of the stick.

His life's ambition was to win an interim title against a nobody and then have that belt elevated to a full world title without beating a champion in the ring. He tried to politic his way to a belt and nearly succeeded, but ultimately Fury called his bluff.

Ill give it Eddie and Matchroom they built him up to be over hyped and as some kind of ppv star so he gained a following. Then he got too big headed and thinks he is worth more than he is

Every time a British heavyweight wins 8 fights in a row he gets way overhyped. We saw it with Whyte and we just recently saw it with DuBois and Joyce.
