I hear this all the time and it's a BS excuse. You think these sports stars like Kobe Bryant got to a certain age and said "I'm going to play basketball because theres more money in it"? No they don't, they played basketball because they like playing the sport from a young age and they didn't even think about money. They are not going to box if they don't like the sport and have no interest in it.

Its not an excuse its reality. Our best heavyweight athletes are choosing other sports. Here in the U.S. there are more sports for those athletes to pursue. As kids they see NBA, NFL and MLB stars on Sportscenter 24/7. You dont think thats going to affect what sport they choose. Seriously few people will choose getting punched in the face to playing ball for a living.

NFL and NBA has been around in america for a very very long time, its not like it suddenly has came. its been around about 100 years. its just that now when Eastern European and Russian fighters are dominating that you use it as an excuse even though those sports has been around forever...

Russia is already just as powerful as america if not even more. its ridicilous to think otherwise. you have to remember that in Russia EVERY man does military service not like america where only some have to do it. Russia also has slightly more nukes than america, more men, bigger country, thougher people. if america attacked Russia they would get their asses whooped badly, just like the germans when they tried to invade us... if america could not even beat vietnam and is still struggling in the middle east how are they going to beat Russia? Russia is a superpower, we are not rice farming 5'1 ****s with bamboo sitcks like the vietnamese or ******ed arab sand people that throw rocks....

It has nothing to do with race. It has to do with desire to win, physical conditioning, diet, training, and individual ability.

There are others like "mt102879" who claims blacks are the athletically superior race, because he says they have greater "genetic diversity". Some posters like Bhopreign try to prove, in as many words, that all white boxers are inferior.

The truth is, we should focus on individual ability, not what color their skin is or where they're from.

i said about 100 years and thats true, beggining of the 20th century you started playing basket and american football. and you have played it ever since. why would it be any different now? those sports have always been the most popular in america... its just now that eastern euros and russians can turn proffessional not even 20 years before we could not and now we are dominating. that you need to use that as an excuse. was not NFL or NBA popular in say the 70's? huh? offcourse they where.
