Comments Thread For: Bivol Open To Moving Down To 168 and Fighting Charlo If He Beats Canelo; Looks To Return in October
Dmitry Bivol is keeping a close eye on the outcome of a potential super middleweight fight between Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo.

Charlo was only interested in Bivol to get himself in front of the line for Canelo, now that he has that he has no reason to fight Bivol - he isn't a big enough draw.
Hopefully Bivol avoids the Roy Jones Jr route, weight shifting in search of greatness to end career getting KTFO by people who couldn't have laced his shoes before.
Bivol fell in the trap of waiting on Canelo and putting all his eggs in that basket.
Here's how you actually promote a fighter: you set a date that you want to fight. If Canelo or whoever else doesn't want it, you fight someone else on that date.
All of this moving down to 168 stuff is starting to look weak and goofy. I like Bivol a lot as a fighter, but he's never pushed hard for the Beterbiev fight and it's a very bad look. Artur hasn't either. I wonder if they have some type of "won't fight fellow Russian" pact like Canelo pretends to with fighting fellow Mexicans.
