I mean I get what he's saying. It might of not been the best of opponent but it's the night he became a world champion. Bud was a guy who came into the pros with not much backing behind him. Wasn't an Olympian, had a nothing to write home about amatuer career. he was asked to step in against breadis Prescott on three days notice after Prescott's world title fight fell through because he was on the undercard an he beat him dominantly. And that got him more attention from top rank but he had to work his way up fight a few eliminators as you should to get a shot at that world title in the first place and had to go to Scotland as a unknown quantity and he achieved his dream and since then he's had a decorated career and in his next fight he's fights in one of the biggest fights of his era

I understand why Crawford feels that way because it was his first world title in a foreign country against a credible opponent. Obviously, some people will discredit Burns but he's not a bad fighter. Boxer's aren't split into two categories - bum or great, some are just in-between.
