Hmm. Not a lot of people satisfied with this response. But the thing is...Crawford is saying what I've said all along: his fight with Ricky Burns was his best performance. Because it really was.
The ref didn't allow him to get dirty (Khan low blow, Kavaliauskas hold-and-hit, etc.). He had no choice but to straight up box and show me something - and that night, he truly looked like an elite fighter. As a result of not being able to break rules, he was forced to go the distance, but he looked like a top fighter in doing so. No asterisk whatsoever.
