Apples and oranges. Marciano fought cans his whole career where as Floyd's consistantly fought top ranked fighters and managed to beat most of them seemingly without breaking a sweat. Pac's already lost more times, been stopped more times and fought in more tooth and nail decisions then Mayweather will his whole career. The fact that you just compared Mayweather to Marciano and Pac to Ali shows how far into the bottom of the barrell i'v reduced you Pac fans to reaching.

What about Calzaghe? He beat a better fighter in Bernard Hopkins than Mayweather Jr. has ever fought, cleaned out a division, retired 46-0, is he the best fighter of all time? Using the 0 as an argument for Mayweather is ridiculous considering he hasn't fought the best since Castillo gave him all he could handle. Those KO losses Pacquiao suffered where VERY early in his career before he physically matured. His only loss in the last like 10 years was to Erik Morales, a better fighter than any Mayweather has ever faced. He avenged that loss twice.

I also wasn't comparing Mayweather to Marciano or Pacquiao to Ali, I was just pointing out how ridiculous it is to say a fighter is better just because one has more losses than the other, especially in this case. You seriously have no credibility on anything Mayweather, considering there is a thread in Boxing History right now where you are arguing Mayweather is better than Ali.

It's no secret that Pac is an entertaining fighter to watch and he deserves credit for a couple of good wins that he has in his career. But realistically, this guy doesnt belong anywhere near the top of the P4P list and i think the reason he's so keen on retiring soon is because he knows he's been lucky in his past few fights (the decision going to him when Pee pee mouth Marquez clearly beat him and the fact that Oscar gave the fight to him on a silver platter by coming in extremely drained) and he wants to hang up the gloves while he's still at the top so he can pursue other opportunities and enjoy being looked at as a god in the Phillipennes.

Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach and that old crook Bob Arum (aka Manny's decision makers) understand this, and that's why they wanna shield him from Mayweather at all costs so they can continue the illusion that he's on Floyd's level without ever having to prove it. Like i'v stated in the past, after the Cotto fight (if Pac wins and that's a big if) you're gonna hear Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach make up some story about how Floyd was being difficult with the negotiations asking for too much money, and that's the reason why the fight fell through. A cheap excuse to rob the fans of the fight Boxing desperately needs that you can already see Freddie and Arum setting up in their more recent interviews.

Bottom line, Manny "I have other people make my decisions for me" Pacquiao doesnt even break the top 5 in terms of skill and ring intelligence which is why Manny's decision makers will never let him fight Mayweather or Mosley. There are plenty of other fighters who deserve to be ranked higher then Manny in the P4P list, and the fact that you all bought into that no soul having crook Bob Arum's empty claims and the HBO hype machine to allow Manny to have that top spot is a slap in the face to boxing and all the fighters who are more deserving. I can't wait to watch Pacs fans world come crumbling down after Cotto exposes him.

It's a shame ppl like you can't actually appreciate Pacs achievements. He maybe nowhere near as skilled as MM but he's done as best he can with whats he's got were as it's arguable that MM hasn't (at WW anyway) - he ain't fought the best in the devision. I mean Pacs fighting Cotto one of the best WWs around and a big guy, a fight he might lose - its only a year ago that e was at super featherweight. IF Cotto beats Pac, will MM fight him? Don't hold your breath.

As for the DLH fight - DLH chose Pac AND Pac was a massive underdog in that fight but e handled his business weight drained DLH or not. Similar comparisons could be made about MM JJM and MM Gatti as MM dominated too BUT we all knew he would dominate.

Also Pacs been talking about retirement before MM came back - the difference is Pac WOULD fight MM, he'd probably get picked apart but would MM WANT Pac... urrmm I duno.

You have to look at the quality of opposition that fighter faced and just as important, how good the fighter looked against them. Floyd has fought some serious competition in his career and with the exception of a couple of off days (like the Castillo fight but thats nitpicking) he hasnt looked threatened at all.

More importantly, you and i both know Mayweather will toy with Manny if Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach and Bob Arum ever decide to let them fight (whether you'll admit it or not) so i don't see why we're even having this debate.

So every undefeated fighter except Mayweather fought nothing but tomato cans? What serious competition has Mayweather fought? Name one fighter Mayweather has fought that is even as good as 43 year old Bernard Hopkins.

Castillo isn't exactly an ATG, and he beat up on a prime Mayweather who could actually throw combinations and brawl decently. Mayweather had a tough time in both fights with him. He was threatened against De La Hoya, he only won a split decision, and was down on the scorecards after the first half of the fight. Judah gave him fits until Judah faded like he always does.

Honestly, what is this serious competition? And don't say Marquez, because you and lots of other Mayweather fans are acting like he was some serious threat Mayweather outclassed and you are completely wrong. There are weight divisions for a reason.

We are having this debate because I disagree with you that Mayweather and his pot shot and run style would allow him to easily beat Manny Pacquiao.
