  • Carl Froch: "Joe Calzaghe Should Stay Retired, No Return"

WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch has advised Joe Calzaghe to stay retired and avoid any ring returns. Froch had been calling Calzaghe out for the last few years. The road to Calzaghe came to a halt when the Welsh fighter announced his retirement at the start of 2009. Froch wants to focus on building his own legacy in the super middleweight division. He returns on October 17 against Andre Dirrell, a first round bout in the Super Six tournament. [details]

      the man is Calzaghe's stalker.

called him out after the he beat Taylor, knowing full well that Calzaghe had no intention of coming out of retirement unless he was given an insane offer.

There's also a very good chance that he was asked for his opinion on a possible Calzaghe return in an interview. What is Froch supposed to do? Dodge every question when Calzaghe's name comes up.

Truth be said Froch doesn't shut the hell up about Calzaghe because I don't think Froch is confident he can win the tourney. Didn't someone make him a favorite after Kessler? Froch gains no attention unless he utters Calzaghes name. Right now he is only in the shadows of Calzaghe still

For some reason, I can see why Kessler would want a piece of him.
