This time two years ago people would have said Fury would need to beat Joshua. In another year they may say the same. He's 33 - there are fights ahead of him.

Boxing is very fickle in the short term. Fury doesn't get to define who are the best fighters in the era. He just gets to decide when or if he faces them.
Tyson losing is different from Joshua losing. I think most would say that in his time Tyson electrified the sport, looked unstoppable, to the point where most thought he would wipe the floor with Evander even after douglas brutalized Tyson.

I'm assuming you were on here before the first Usyk fight? People didn't give Usyk a chance and felt Joshua would be far too big.

Joshua was never Tyson, but then no-one has been (or might ever be). But Joshua did reinvigorate interest in the heavies - easy to forget how big a deal he was.

He's still one of the best in this era. Losing to Usyk doesn't change that.

What happens if Usyk pulls off the upset? How would he be looked at then?

I was indeed, and I was not in any way at surprised Usyk won. Joshua just isn’t as good as the hype. He was popular in the U.K. when the U.K. needed a sports star to rally behind but that time has passed

Come on. Joshua revitalised the division.

Even his biggest haters would acknowledge that.

He's still amongst the best in the era. The Usyk fights damage his claim to being the best, but there are fights in play that can change that.

For what it's worth I always thought Usyk was all wrong for him. But I think he gives Fury a hell of a fight, and I think he beats Wilder. That's boxing. Styles make fights. It's nowhere as simple as 'he got beat by a Cruiserweight'.

I honestly don't understand why people are still mentioning Joshua, dude got one good win against an over the hill Klitschko and that's it, even in that fight he took so much punishment that he wasn't the same anymore. Got smashed by Ruiz and only won the second fight because Ruiz let the money get to his head. Got also smashed by a cruiserweight in Usyk. Dude is a roided up hypejob and that's about it.

Poor Josh Josh being described as hype, even though he best wlad and Ruiz. Whilst wilder not beaten anyone who was ever anything? Wilder the hypejob will probably lose to Josh leftovers the fat mexican.
