Eddie Hearn keeping it real and owning the 'loss'. Just like boxers are always encouraged to do.

But he'll still be attacked for doing so. You never hear from Haymon anyway but difficult to imagine them ever conceding that another promoter is out performing them right now. Ditto T.R and G.B .

In 2022, AJ lost again and had a complete meltdown, Canelo lost to Bivol and then the GGG rematch was a complete dud, Eubank-Benn fell apart after Benn failed a drugs test putting Matchroom’s PR at an all time low. If that’s a good year, I’d hate to see a bad one.

Hearn’s best year was 2017. AJ was at his peak popularity and they a lot of successful PPV’s including AJ-Klitschko, Haye-Bellew and Brook-Spence.

2022 belonged to Frank Warren. He reclaimed the top spot in the UK.

Fair play to Hearn, he owned the loss, admitting he has noone for canelo except Bivol but couldn't make the fight. He doesn't want to burn bridges so is keeping it nice.

It's great to see that they are still best friends. Nash lives more peacefully knowing that Hearn and Canelo are BFF's. Nash out

Getting people to pay you to put David Haye in the ring after 2012 is a damn fine accomplishment, can't hate on Eddie for that one at least.

yeah 2022 - wasn't stellar for results for his fighters but although promoters would prefer to keep their star fighters unbeaten the most important is putting on money making shows and did i mention making money. I don't recall 2022 being a stellar year for PBC - i seem to remember people complaining about having to pay PPV prices for non-ppv fights. But fair play to the fighters now at PBC and to give credit where credit is due - Caleb Plant set the trend of these big fights - he bit the bullet and decided to take on the monster in his weight class. Then Ryan followed suit. Then that was such a successful show that PBC decided they could risk fronting the money to satisfy Bud and Errol's demands.

That was a great year for Matchroom/Sky. They were doing big numbers for those fights too.
