He get credit for beating Castillo 1x, and Corrales but that was at lw that don't count for nothing in a welterweight discussion.

The rest of those guys were not in their prime, and we talking about him unifying welterweight.

At least Thurman can talk beating two prime top fighters to unify two of the belts

Is Mayweather's lack of an undisputed reign a knock against his legacy? I don't believe so because Mayweather was without a doubt the man at every weight class he fought in. However, I do hold it against Mayweather near the end of his career when he did not face the new talent like Porter, Brook, or Thurman. Overall, Mayweather is without a doubt an all time great.

Floyd was a welterweight, Marquez was a lightweight

        Pacquaio was past his prime

Let's be real, nobody cares about these belts. Haney, Teo, and Kambosos were all undisputed for gods sake. Now if there was one title and only the best fighter could be champion, then being undisputed would mean something. In this era the belts are just an excuse for sanctioning bodies to get a percentage of your paycheck.

Floyd wasn’t prime when he fought Pacquiao either and he was 2 years older than Manny

iirc didn't the WBO pull it's belt out of the May-Pac fight?

Sounds like excuses that are irrelevant to the discussion

Thurman beat two top prime guys to unify the belts, then called out Floyd for his, but Floyd felt fighting that shopworn c fighter Andre Berto a bigger challenge

to be clear , age is not the only thing to consider when saying someone is past their prime. Pac was past his prime and his previous fights before Floyd showed that. Even though mayweather was a little older than pac, pac had a lot more professional fights than Floyd and more amateur fights which means he endured more training camps, more wear and tear on the body. This is why I say pac was Pac past his prime.
