Thurman was definitely avoided by Mayweather in their primes. Floyd didn't want that problem for some reason.

Thurman beat two top prime guys to unify the belts, then called out Floyd for his, but Floyd felt fighting that shopworn c fighter Andre Berto a bigger challenge

The cult followers don't want to hear it but... Keith is right. When you ask why fighters don't fight, it's because they're ALL working from the Money May Playbook.
Hand picked opponents, timing a name when they're ripe, hydration clause, ring size, retiring to avoid fights then coming back when the boogieman is gone....To his credit, Floyd's excuses are still being used today. For better or worse, Floyd changed boxing forever.

I don't believe so because Mayweather was without a doubt the man at every weight class he fought in. However, I do hold it against Mayweather near the end of his career when he did not face the new talent like Porter, Brook, or Thurman. Overall, Mayweather is without a doubt an all time great.

Floyd totally ducked him.
Mosley was a shopworn 38 year old fighter by the time Floyd got around to fighting him, and Manny had 60+ fights plus been ko'd previously.
Name wise they are more significant, prime wise no.
Thurman has a right to talk.
