Shame on Bayless for robbing the fans of something they paid to see. This was an exhibition and the fans paid good money for the entertainment. Bayless didn't punish Mayweather and Gotti, he punished the fans.

Maybe we should just get rid of referees and let the fighters do what they want? Why blame Bayless for carrying out his duty as a referee? If the fighters aren't following his instructions, then they aren't following his instructions. What should he do? Just go with the flow? Or be a referee?

You have a point, but in an exhibition like this maybe the rules of discipline should be different, and I mean different in a way that the match could be resumed. The logical conclusion is that Mayweather would get serious and end the fight (if he has the ability).

Mayweather was indeed toying with Gotti, but why wasn't he trying to finish him? Also, toward the last Gotti was landing an occasional punch. Mayweather, to me anyway wasn't doing anything to Gotti to have the fight stopped. I'm not disagreeing that that Floyd was easily out boxing Gotti but he wasn't hurting him either.
