What? I’ve been begging for Canelo to fight Benavidez.
I’m saying what you read. Exactly what you read word for word. That Benavidez only calls out fighters he has physical advantages over. Mainly 154-160 fighters coming up.
I pray to god Canelo fights this clown next.
Canelo is the undisputed champion at 168 and would be Benavidez' first choice next opponent as confirmed by the huge offer. He just took a risky fight versus Plant and was largely applauded for it. Morrell is high risk low reward. Benavidez says he'll fight him but not next as he'd rather it'd be a high reward for a high risk.
Will you apply your same logic to Spence ? Who has feasted on lower weight fighters - Mikey, Danny and now he is lining up another lower weight fighter in Crawford. Laughable line of logic.Rebelrbg likes this.

Otherwise we can say Spence should fight at 154 or 160
Haney should fight at 147
Fundora should fight at HW - lol
case you haven't noted - boxing has weight divisions, not height divisions
me personally - I'd rather have same day weigh-ins with weigh-ins at fixed times leading up to the fight. 6 weeks, 3 weeks and 1 week - but it's an imperfect world.landotter likes this.

These days logic is out the window in favor of "I don't like this guy because he beat a fighter I liked" or whatever the hell it is.
Benavidez has been seeking a Canelo fight for years. He is Canelo's mandatory. He offered a fight contract where Canelo will get 45 million. Canelo is choosing instead to try and drag old assed cruisers down to 180.
I like Morrell. Benavidez has done way more and is Canelo's mandatory. How in the hell can anyone dog Benavidez for not fighting Morrell?

I'd like to see Benavidez vs Mbilli in a competitive stay-busy fight - a further step up for Mbilli and no easy outing for David.
Morrell is just going to be avoided at 168 - just like Ennis is at 147 and Golovkin was 10 years ago at 160 and Hgrovic is at HWRebelrbg likes this.
