and the fact that floyd fought very injured and still won the 1st fight and then rematched him and won again---being more classy than castillo was---that's all---he outboxed him both fights---one he was hurt--the other he ws healthy---floyd would have beaten chavez decisively also----

yet he is arguably the most accurate punching fighter in boxing and has been for years---meaning his punches landed vs his punches thrown are better than everybody's elses...the guy had fights where he landed as high as 80% of his punches---just his last fight---he landed almost 60% of his punches and his jabs over marquez's 12% landed punches on him---meaning his accuracy is on point against one of the sharpest punchers in boxing----floyd landed more jabs than juan landed total punches---yeah---he's all defense alright....get a life boy...

Having watched both guys quite a bit, Whitaker. His reflexes were superior setting up his counters. That video back on the first page sums it up. Whitaker is also better defensively I think. Floyd has more power and a better overall arsenol offensively, but whitaker rarely took flush shots similar to a prime jones.

Sweet Pea by far. The dude only stood 5 foot 5 but still had the balls to stand up to much bigger and taller guys. And he made it look so easy.

Pea was a very agressive fighter. He didnt pot shot and keep his opponents at a distance quite like Mayweather does. He would be right in their face giving offense while he simultanously evaded all of their attacks. He was simply spectacular.

Pernell also established himself as a premier welterweight fighter. He even proved he could get business done at Jr Middleweight if he wanted.

So far pretty boy has shown a reluctance to face real welterweights. We'll see.

Pernell, easily. And he beats Floyd at 135 and 140. He'd be out-muscled at 147, though.

of course floyd is accurate, because he only throws punches if he know he can land them.

sweet pea actually throws combinations... 3-5 punch combos and was still elusive while punching.

floyd is all defense w/ an occassional counterpunch.

People who say Floyd is better clearly haven't watched pernell's fights, and are idiots, probably just basing ability on one thing... the record, which is unbelmished... Due to floyd's inability to fight proper proper welterweights Don't mean to be harsh but thats the way it is...

I've watched almost every fight of both fighters, im sure many on this forum have. They will say Pernell. Hands down.
didnt roger knock sweet pea down lol

so you base floyd's whole 40 fight career off of recent fights?
