What Were Key Factors in Erik Morales beating Pacquiao?

I still say the only reason Morales won that first fight was because Pacquiao wasn't allowed to wear the punchers' gloves. It was so different in the second fight when Pacquiao was allowed to wear his gloves, it's not even funny.

Pacquiao would have knocked Morales out in all three fights with Reyes gloves. I truly believe that.

For a guy with 15 thousand posts you seem to know **** about the many factors that can go into a loss. The fact that he didn't get to wear the gloves he wanted is minimal ****ty factor that had little bearing on the final result.

Can anyone tell me what was the key for Erik Morales beating Manny Pacquiao the first time?
Does anyone believed that moving up in weight to fight to face Zahir Raheem affected him in his rematch with Manny?

I watched that fight several weeks ago... thats my favorite manny pac fight just a great one. If I remember correctly it was really similar to marquez 1 but without the KD's. in a nut-shell manny kept coming forward and was wide open for shots and ate alot of punches but got off some really good shots but moralez just beat him to the punch most of the time and had him backing up at times... don't hold me too harshly to this analysis lol i don't remember vividly I have nothing to do right now it would be great to watch it again... I felt it was a definitive victory for moralez tho

-he overtrained because he came to the US in late december thinking he was gonna rematch marquez in mid february, the morales fight was towards the end of march...that's why they now do only 8 weeks

-he found out a week of the fight that murad muhammad was giving him only 50% of the purse

-el terrible was coming off a loss and was eager to redeem himself

What Erick did was actually counter punch Pacquiaoto death, and when ever Pacquiao tried to intimidate Erick throwing lots of punches Eric fought back and didnt let Pacquiao to bully him. Erick jab was the key, it threw Pacs rhythim off and the occasional right hand hurt pac mot of the time!!

yeah but not by that much his right hand got more effective he still throws similar punches... i think some ppl exaggerate his improvements... if you don't mind can you give a few examples of what big things he changed?

foot work, right counter punch( i first saw this in morales vs. pac II), defense,
late 90s pac is a different pac compare today.
