There once was a time Canelo weight was like manna from heaven. They blessed him for the chance to drain themselves. Jack acts like the jackpot has shrunk.

Benevidez is his Wbc mando, Morrell is his Wba mando, Andrade is his Wbo mando and if Charlo moves up from 160 champ ha can challenge the 168 champ. Canelo is boxed in. Pbc is his only exit!

It's not that the jackpot has shrunk, it's that Jack has had a long, successful career already and has managed his money well. He's had 39 years old, 34 fights in, and has had 9 fights with some version of a world title belt on the line (1 WBA/IBF/Ring/Lineal title fight, 1 WBC/lineal, 4 with just a WBC belt on the line, 2 for WBA Regular belts, and 1 for a WBA interim). And he has spent his last 4 fights cashing in on that Saudi/UAE gravy train. Jack is a modest, highly religious guy who isn't out there flipping Ferraris over, knocking up 10 women in 5 states, or spending millions on ***elry.

Jack isn't some kid looking for his first payday. He's not some screwup who blew all his cash. He's not a washed fighter looking for one more payday. He's a reigning titlist with cash in the bank and options. He doesn't need Canelo.

I'm down for that. If it's not Benavidez Charlo will do.. Build up would be intense and Charlo not going to dance around the ring, would be an exciting fight too

I agree. Wish it was Benavides tbh, but the bs with Jack was bs to begin with! Maybe if Nelo has a good performance, he might man up to Benny. I doubt it though!
I think he’s only fighting Mall at 68 is bc he’s been out of the ring and he hasn’t fought at 68, just my guess

Hopefully he’s been saving up to put on a real show! I would never quit the trolling if he whooped Nelo and took all his belts

Canelo Charlo all but guaranteed. We all know Canelo won't fight Benavidez. Charlo still a decent scrap though.

“Vadim Kornilov, who manages Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs), also stated recently that Alvarezās team doesnāt seem serious about him boxing Bivol again because they havenāt offered the type of money that Russiaās Bivol believes he deserves after soundly defeating Alvarez on points in their 12-round fight for Bivolās WBA light heavyweight title 13 months ago at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.”

Boxing purse splits don’t work that way. Your salary isn’t about who you beat, it’s about how much money you can generate. Canelo vs Bivol was basically a charity event for Bivol. Canelo didn’t “need” another title at 175, and he doesn’t need another title at 175. He doesn’t need Bivol.

Canelo has been a top draw since his 154 days, and was already being checked out by hardcore fans at 147.

I said this the minute it was discussed weeks ago. He's dodging Benavidez & Morrell jr. If was serious @ 175 he would've tried his luck vs Beterbiev. When he rejected the Bivol rematch @ 168 it was to save face in a looming loss & keep his belts. Canelo @ 168 was fighting Charlo (layoff n not a real 168er) Andrade (same thing) or Jaime Mugunia ( same thing minus layoff). No one wants to see title fights that literally can be fought the weight class below after all the handicap clauses. Or your fighting guys literally from the weight class below.
