Canelo has always been massively overhyped and built into a monster based on his performance against lesser fighters. An older Floyd whipped him, GGG beat him twice, Bivol kicked his ass and in the Bivol fight Canelo looked about 50 years old, and he has been declining since. Saul wants nothing to do with a Bivol rematch, never has, that was all bluster. Bivol exposed how limited he is. That was Canelo's proper weight. He drains down for 168 and then comes in at 180 on fight night to bully guys.

Canelo never beats any prime, good fighters. Hell GGG was past his prime when Canelo lost to him twice.

Canelo was just a way for boxing to have a Mexican superstar, he was built into a moneymaker and hyped like he was a killer, when he is at best a good fighter with a really good chin. Who likely doped a ton throughout his career.

Bivol should've accepted the terms just to beat Canelo a second time.
In doing so he would've started to weaken Canelo's bargaining power in future fights.
Then he wouldn't be able to get away with all of the shenanigan's, that he's been able to pull off in the past.
Marking a win for Bivol, and a win for all of Canelo's future opponent's at the bargaining table.

WBC is a corrupt POS organization and already jumped in to protect Canelo by saying they wont allow their title to be up for grabs at 168 for Bivol, for the sole purpose of dissuading Bivol from making the fight.

Its a travesty, Bivol could potentially be undisputed at 2 weight classes simultaneously with Canelo at 168 and beterbiev at 175 and I dont think that has ever happened in the 4 belt era and now we seen the ABC orgs straight up have blocked it from happening before the fights were even negotiated. THey are corrupt and garbage. All the ABC orgs need to be shutdown.

Dont sit there and tell me that tomato can Ryder is a perfectly acceptable defense but for some reason light heavyweight champion Bivol is not a worthy defense of their 168 title.

Then dont sit there and tell me oh we can have Beterbiev-Bivol because theres a war. so what, imagine if they said oh no we cant have an olympics at berlin germany, jesse owens you arent allowed to go run. Beterbiev lives in ***ing canada anyways what does the regional war have anything to do with him or bivol.

problem is he doesn’t need the rematch for his legacy, for his pocket yes it’d help a lot, but he’s good whether the rematch happens or not, while Canelo will always have that loss which I highly doubt he wants to avenge badly.

i’d love to see Bivol beat up Canelo once more though so yeah i hope they can work things out

He accepted the first fight with low money and everyone said “beat the king and then you make money!” Now you’re saying he should take low money again, so Canelo has less negotiation power against OTHER guys!?

Who can blame Clenelo for not wanting it? He has no chance of winning whatsoever. Last time all judges were his buddies and he still lost. Bivol is better and bigger so Clenelo is out of weapons. It was a 2-10 defeat at best for Canelo and he is too old to learn the fast footwork he would need against a bigger, lengthier opponent with better cardio than him.

I would have been surprised if Canelo did want the rematch. It only makes sense he publicly talks about how much he wants the fight while his team is giving bs terms knowing team Bivol can't accept them. It's the same as Luke Fury does to all his opponents except Agit Kabayels and Tom Schwarzes who will be happy to get the crumbs from Fury's dinner table.

Why is anyone surprised? Cinnabon is the master of avoiding the fights he could lose, and in this case, lose embarrassingly. It's just more of the same, no need to get uptight.

It’s obvious Canelo dictates the terms against any opponents no matter what so get over it. He said “ same everything “ and that’s what it is. I’m sure it’s more money Bivol has made in all his previous fights combined. I don’t know and I don’t care to dig into boxers finances but I’m 100% certain

Not a good fight anyways. His style is all wrong for Canelo. Even fights with Morrell and Benavidez aren't appealing because they are simply larger framed fighters. Canelo needs to stop chasing higher weight classes and stick to fighting the best available fighters at his weight class. Make Canelo/Spence, Canelo/JeCharlo, Canelo/JaCharlo, Canelo/Crawford, Canelo/Munguia, Canelo/Thurman, Canelo/DGarcia.
