Ryan Garcia probably has the most mainstream notoriety
non boxing fans, they have no idea who spence, crawford, haney, stevenson or tank are.
its not like a DLH where non boxing fans all knew who they were.
I think Tank is the biggest new star for boxing fans. I think he knocks out Haney and stevenson, i dont think anyone at 140 beats him. He isnt that fast in other eras he would get outboxed by faster skilled guys but this generation they all eventually get caught by Tank.Comment

Agree, nobody knows who they are. Ryan Garcia is the one with the most cross over appeal, the looks, the charisma, ect that will bring in more fans from outside of boxing.
I mean think of mid to late 90s Tyson he wasnt the best anymore at HW but he would outsell everyone else because thats who the general public wanted to see. Or DLH, he could take an L and his career had zero financial impact he just bounces right back because it sells.Comment

Was thinking the same thing. Like, Jared Anderson maybe? Or does Zhang count, since they've been announcing him as being from the US lately, and he lives in NJ?
Spence usually averages 350k PPV. Tank's highest pre Ryan Garcia was 250k. And Tank fans are dreaming if they think Ryan's fans are now Tank fans. He's not going to hit those numbers again without a really good dance partner. And no, a rematch with Rolly won't do it. Maybe if Lopez doesn't retire and takes more of the belts, he might get closer. At $85 PPV probably not though.
TBH, the only American who hits close to the top guys (Canelo, AJ, Fury) in PPV numbers is Jake Paul... Should tell you something about the state of boxing.
I think Smash was being funny and actually talking about Tank's stature.
