Whack fight, and on top of that, Jack is going to beat Canelo. He should have chosen Benavidez, way more winnable and more fun matchup. Jack can win just as widely as Bivol even though he’s not as good. Canelo is just not great anymore, he’s good. He shouldn’t be fighting dudes that are way bigger than him at this point of his career.

Even if this is true...Jack is by no means an easy fight especially for a 5'7 ginger whos never fought beyond 175 and already lost at that weight. Badou would have a legit shot at giving canelo his third pro loss. I think this is just to put pressure on the team bivol negotiation, Benavidez offer still on the table too. Nelo aint short of options thats for sure.

If only he was like Jermall Charlo holding a belt hostage for over 2 years and his last fight was fighting someone who had never even fought for a world title like Juan Montiel. I have no doubts this is serious as Canelo needs to get his legacy with casual fans before he retires and goes to play golf.

Even during the buildup for Kovalev fight he was talking about moving up to get a CW title as well.

Canelo needs his cash out strategy before his legacy starts taking a beating by losing to his mandatories or Bivol once again.
Cause if he fights Bivol again... either 1. he gets knocked out at 175.... OR 2. loses at 168 and loses all his belts.

Benavidez would be a seriously tough fight for him and he would not be the only Mexican guy there. lol.

Going up to CW for a past his prime fighter, so he can buy off another belt, REALLY IS Canelo's best and safest option.
