Let me get this straight. He backed out of the catterall rematch due to an "injury" in favor of an easier target in teo who everybody thought was washed up and still lost? Did I miss anything?

Be interesting to see if he carries on.
i think hes the same fighter, he looked sharp the first few rounds but just fought someone above any skill level that he has fought before. the wins against ramirez and prograis were good and he had a good run but none of them fighters at 140lb looked skillwise on the level of people in the weights above and below them, i said the same thing in the haney threads when people were saying he would struggle at 140lb, apart from lopez the fighters at that weight are a step down not a step up in difficulty, i could see him fighting prograis and near on shutting him out

More delusion, hope he retires but i guess i would enjoy seeing him get knocked out or battrred at 147.

Taylor seems on the decline. He's had some pretty hard fights the past few years had a extensive amatuer career etc it seems like he's racked up alot of miles even though he's only had 20 pro fights but they've been tough fights one after another. I think he should cash out an go for a money fight somewhere it sounds mad but Conor Benn in Saudi Arabia could be a avenue for a nice pay day or the catteral rematch up at a catchweight if he don't wanna make 140 anymore. He's achieved alot he's been undisputed he won the WBSS etc Going to 147 you're gonna have to see the likes of boots or Ortiz an thell smash you to pieces for a 1/3 of the payday

Regis tried to out Taylor Taylor and lost. Simple and plain.
If and when Taylor jumps up to 147 he will find out again if he tries to face winner of Spence v Crawford.
I think Matias also does a number on Taylor as well. To JT’s credit, Teo is wildly athletic and made Taylor seem almost euro level at best. I don’t think too many can do that. I picked Teo and happy he got the UD.

Now it's clear how badly Terence Crawford would've destroyed Josh Taylor had he moved up to 147 for that fight

Credits where credits are due ... Lopez fought the almost perfect fight negating any potential advantages Taylor might have... Taylor looked like s-h-i-t after the first 2 rounds and that was that...

Aside for a couple of rounds early on Taylor was never in the fight , he was beaten up , outboxed , out thought and out punched. The only thing positive to say about Taylor's performance is he's got a solid chin as he shipped major punishment throughout.
