At 135 Mayweather Jr. had pop and let his hands go. Chavez was non stop pressure so it would be close but I think Pretty Boy wins it.

Fascinating fight, and a hard one to pick. In his prime @135 Chavez was the absolute master of cutting off the ring, and If you were to beat mayweather, then that would be the way to do it. Floyd at 135 was lightning fast, but also very powerful,I'm not sure if that would have been enough to deal with Chavez at that time.

Its too close to call really. I would say there was a good chance of this fight being a SD or a draw.

Chavez's sparring partner made Mayweather look ordinary at 135.

This topic was made last week, why even bother? prime JCC would of destroyed Floyd, so would a 135lb Duran.

I like Mayweather for a decision victory.

Floyd is too fast on his feet, he can do whatever Pea did to Chavez.

That's the first thing that came to mind but I hate triangle theories... but yeah, that's the first thing I thought of.

I don't think it goes like that at all. Whitaker was faster and far better at being elusive than Mayweather ever has been. Floyd let himself get pushed against the ropes too easily and a guy like Chavez takes full advantage of this.

Also, Sweet Pea really surprised people with his inside fighting ability against Chavez. Floyd couldn't outfight Castillo inside, he wouldn't do it against Chavez.
