I think Mosley has more to worry about fighting Mayweather than Mayweather has worries fighting Mosley

Remember, Floyd first called Shane out when PBF was at 130, and SM was on his way to WW.

The second time was when PBF was on his way to 147, and Shane was in his Jose Cruz/ David Estrada era, and was suffering the post-steroid effects, and asked for tune-ups.

The third time was after the second Vargas fight.

Now, if Floyd is chasing a bigger guy like that, what does that tell you? Mayweather felt he could make a name off that guy. And that he would win.
It's amazing to me that so many of these bloggers are even wasting their time analyzing a fight that the great Mayweather obviously don't want to take. Right now, you can't make MW get in the ring with a proven fighter of Mosley's caliber. He will use all the excuses available to him to get out of taking that fight. Boxers know those who are serious threats to them. Boxers know what their vulnerablities are. MW knows SSM possess the speed to catch him, the power to hurt him, the ring intelligence to match him and the experience and physical strength to rough him up and make him use energies that he never had to use. Any intellegent boxing fan clearly understands that MW is not Margarito. Shane would have to use a whole different strategy in fighting a runner and counter-puncher like MW. But for those haters who are simply begrudging Shane for their boy MW, they know in their heart of hearts that Shane is clearly not washed-up and is fact the most serious threat to MW's protected undefeated record. It is unconsciousable that this guy has been allowed to get away with fighting the fighters he has faced in the last 6 years. How can anyone one continue to support someone who is obviously avoiding the most serious challanges to his perfect record. While I do admit I am an ardent SSM fan, I'm also objective in what he brings to the table in a potential match-up with MW. I see Shane having some difficulty finding MW over the first half of the fight. But be it known, Shane is not a blown-up feather weight fighting MW, he is a real, powerful and skilled champion. SSM would eventially catch MW with something real powerful and brutally get him layed out on the canvas or make his corner stop the fight between rounds. If this fight were to happen within a year SSM wins this one hands down--unless MW decide he's going to avoid contact all night and call it boxing. Until MW get's the intestinal fortitude to sign for the fight, all of his fans need to just be quite about how great he is. You are not great because you proclaim it. Boxing greatness is about utilizing your skills to beat the BEST fighters available skills.
