its funny how these floyd heads want to downplay shane, when they know good and damn well when floyd hits shane, shane's fast enough to hit him back...that's what shane brings to the table..
What does Mosley bring to the table against Mayweather?

Shane has never met a boxing strategy that he can execute.

Yeah but Gatti-like intelligence? He made great adjustments in the Winky rematch and even more in the Forrest rematch. I also think he adjusted very well in the mid to latter rounds against Collazo. Same with the second Oscar fight.Comment

Prime Shane brings everything to the table, the Shane from now brings nothing. I mean when you occasionally got outboxed by a Ricardo Mayorga? that says something.
Margarito? yeah he made Mosley look young again. ****, with your chin as your defense how could a guy as powerful as Mosley had lost that fight?
I remember everyone that was writing Mosley off and saying he would get KO'ed by Tony and all I could say is yeah right Mosley will whoop Margarito.
I would never trust BScene posters to give me a good argument/discussion, they talk with all this confidence about who can beat who, and who can give who trouble. Only fight i was dead wrong in was Hatton-Pacquiao. Most of you get all riled anyways.Comment

Mosley would be fast enough to stay in Floyd's face all night, and has the power to knock the block off anyone at 147. He would make Mayweather let his hands go and fight which no one has made him do since the Castillo fight.
I don't think Mayweather can do that anymore. The fact Sugar Shane is a brawler works to his advantage here, he won't try to outbox Pretty Boy. People assume because Cotto outboxed Mosley Floyd would do it even easier, I don't see it that way. Mosley was nailing bombs on Cotto that Mayweather wouldn't be able to handle, even if he only got hit with half of them. Also, Cotto wasn't just boxing, he was nailing big hooks on Mosley that made Sugar Shane back up, which Mayweather can't compare to.Comment

Depends which Mosley would show up, really.
People are assuming he will be the same as he was when he dismantled Margarito. But the thing about Margarito is he let Shane wind up and heave these massive shots with very little opposition offered back, or defense/evasion to speak of. Margarito was shell shocked indeed and just basically stood there and took punishment. Floyd would not do that, even for a second. Floyd is one of the most composed and calm fighters of this era. He would not get shell shocked. I think part of it is Shane was offended that Marg almost used illegal wraps on him and wanted to pay him pack, so it was personal. But a far different Shane shows up, given the fight. I don't find him the most consistent of the bunch, though when he does choose to, he can really shock and awe some opponents.
I think Shane would try to impose his strength on Floyd by doing alot of infighting..holding and hitting...cutting off the ring, trapping on the ropes..trying to forcefully just shatter Floyd's defensive structure. Sort of ala Castillo I. Staying right in front or on the outside and throwing bombs would not work on Floyd like it worked on Margarito.
But Shane is a powerful WW, and would have a chance against Floyd..Though, I would give Floyd odds, because we are dealing with a whole new kind of Mayweather nowadays..Bigger and stronger. Just as fast and elusive, if not more. Mosley is passed his prime despite some flashes of brilliance and I feel Mayweather is sitting right at or near the pinnacle of his prime.Comment

it's not about styles, cause imho intelligent-potshotter/counterpuncher beats a speedy-brawler... but:
mosley can match speed 4 speed w/ floyd
mosley has better power
mosley has better volume
mosley has equal size
mosley has strength in clinches
mosley would give floyd his stiffest test yet, but floyd would pull it out because of his defense.
but that doesn't mean floyd can duck mosley or wait until mosley gets older.
equal size??
dawg he look way bigger then FRAUD BUMWEATHER in that post fight interviewComment
