SSM brings handspeed, power, a good chin, and 12 rd stamina. He just ain't got the legs to beat Mr boat buyer. He takes 4 rds 4 sho, maybe 5, but he loses a UD. Mr boat buyer's footwork would make the difference.

12 round stamina? lately, it seems to me that he has looked like he gets tired earlier...that could just be me though.

Yes a bit bigger...and this is actually a disadvantage for Shane. He'll kill himself trying to make weight for WW. and Floyd, even in the rare event he gives Shane the favor of a fight...would never fight shane higher than welter.

in other words, nothing---mosley has power--yes---mosley has speed-yes---mosley is stronger---maybe---as far as physical strength goes---but floyd is much sronger mentally and mosley fights stiff as **** and has always done so---floyd would school that clown....mosley closes his eyes a lot when he swings---floyd's best weapons are his eyes and would ****er shane to death and floyd throws much sharper punches tha shanhe has ever thrown---fighting like shane does will have him off balance against floyd all night--he's too stiff---striaght up and down--floyd beats shane in his prime and out of his prime---

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. And it is very easy to draw Shane into a brawl... even when that doesn't suit him.

              Ask yourself:

If Floyd wasn't absolutely sure that he could beat Shane, would he have chased a fight with him all this time? You guys say that Floyd is a cherry-picker. Well, Floyd sees something in Shane that makes PBF pretty confident that he would beat Shane.

Remember, Floyd first called Shane out when PBF was at 130, and SM was on his way to WW.

The second time was when PBF was on his way to 147, and Shane was in his Jose Cruz/ David Estrada era, and was suffering the post-steroid effects, and asked for tune-ups.

The third time was after the second Vargas fight.

Now, if Floyd is chasing a bigger guy like that, what does that tell you? Mayweather felt he could make a name off that guy. And that he would win.

they are both WWs aren't they? don't pull that "floyd's a small WW" bull****! if he's a small WW he would've made 144 lbs.

yes, mosley isn't the smartest boxer, but mosley's physical attributes make up for that deficiency

wtf? he only lost to winky (too big) and forrest (got his number)... I don't see floyd beating either of them either.

                mosley got robbed in MSG.

mosley was outweighed by 20+ lbs against mayorga.

                  1) I'm not buying that "too big" argument for Winky. Winky is 1/2 a division bigger than Shane. SM is a big 147er or a 154er. Winky is a big 154er or MWer. And Winky doesn't "fight big". He just outboxed Shane..

                  2) When someone beats you in the amateurs, in the pros and can beat everyone that you beat, like Forrest did Shane, that tells me that guy is probably just better than you. And after seeing them both with Mayorga, I 'm not so sure that a prime Mayorga at 147 loses to Shane.

                  3) There is a big difference in size between early Floyd and Forrest/Winky.

                  4) Mosley was outboxed in MSG. He lost 7 or 8 rounds. I haven't found six rounds to give Shane. but I'm willing to listen to which 7 rounds (or 8 rounds if it was "a robbery") that you gave SM.

                  5) Mayorga was 180-something?

I'll have to admit that Mosley didn't look very good in that fight. He flickered his jab like he always did earlier in his career, but in the Margarito fight he got to throwing it the right way. The only thing that makes me think that Floyd would have an edge is the fact that Mosley sometimes gets in the habit of throwing wide punches.
