Lets put things into perspective Munguia has a significantly better resume than Demetrius Andrade yet the same guys that bash Munguia praise Andrade and that's not even counting if he beats Dervenchenko this weekend.

People forget munguia was denied by the las vegas commission to fight ggg on late notice . He has shown the willingness to fight someone as feared as ggg was 5 years ago

middleweight is not a deep division at all. Yea, munguia has been protected a bit by golden boy but it’s obviously been difficult to make fights against pbc guy in charlo and other guys like zhanibek are seemingly low reward , high reward. Yea hes with top rank but even if zhanibek was with a promotional outfit with dazn then they probably still wouldnt have fought

I recall that fight being worked on but since Andrade was with dazn at the time and munguia with GBP they couldn't make it happen.

I've never seen anything stating munguia flat out didn't want the fight

So when Mungia (GBP/DAZN) walked away from Andrade (Hearn/DAZN, at the time), that isn’t a duck because of the promotional issues (even though both are with DAZN). But when Andrade (Hearn/DAZN, at the time) walked away from Janibek (Arum/Top Rank) its a duck? Your Mexican bias is verrrry evident. Nothing new there.

Literally every single living man that has ever won a full WBA, WBC, WBO, or IBF world title has a better resume than Andrade.

He's the only guy I know of that has at least 20 fights, has won a belt, and has never faced another full world titlist.

Andrade has not made a case for himself to get a big fight. Avoided a couple of fights instead of going at it to get better opportunities if he becomes victorious. Hearn signed him and figured out what everyone knows that he is not a big money fight for anyone.

Yup. What gets me about Andrade is how content he seems wasting his career. I guess his heart isn’t in the game

He got offered things that were not realistic or the promoter couldn't deliver. He is chasing Canelo and he is no where in the conversation to fight him. Boxing things happen and he can get a shot if everything else fails but that is so highly unlikely.

No, Munguia beat a reigning world titlist in Sadam Ali and a former world titlist in Liam Smith. These fights took place between May and July 2018. He never fought anybody good before or after that, but he did fight two guys who could at least call themselves full world tilists. Andrade is 9 years older than Munguia and still has zero world titlists to his name (and no, interim and "Regular" belts don't count).

In the grand scheme of things Munguia has a very soft resume. But it's still several tiers above Andrade's.
