Notice Tony did'n give him a longer time to recover because hes older, he just stopped it because he's older. But actually we all know the real reason and its complete bull$#!t. Rolly was kinda receiving a beating. He's already on the list of refs I never wanna see call a big fight again, but that list is bigger than the ones I'd keep.
But I'll try to call this out,
Is it in any rule book that younger fighters are given preferential treatment due to age against an older fighter? Or that a hurt older fighter means the fight should be called? At what age do the rules state that the fighter should be before an instant stoppage is required? If boxing feels that older boxers are in more danger, or need extra protection, then why dont they have an age limit?

You know I just ask because a refs job is to know and enforce the rules in the ring. (But we all know they make up their own to favor the A-side)

I'm sorry otherwise boxing looks? The most corrupt sport in the world and I could list a few MF'ers to be honest Trainers, fighters, judges & managers because I did it as an amateur & professional and many are on the take.

He didn't get to fight inside because Dock kept on interfering.

Weeks stopped it to benefit the ones who always receive the robberies. It isn't balanced and split about the same with this "Incompetence". No, it always goes the way of the American or the Mexican. Never the overseas fighter. This is premeditated corruption and always was.

This age excuse is laughable. Barroso was dominating the fight and didn't even get hit at the stoppage. He knew what the orders were. The same way he knew with Kovalev too amongst others.

Also, is no one acknowledging Tim Cheatham is the worst of the judges around today and always has his hand in most of these robberies? Even his card had Barroso 1 point up. How when he dominated?

The stoppage was appalling but fair play to Weeks for speaking up and owning his mistake. Referee’s and officials often just remain silent in the wake of controversy and wait for the storm to blow over. They should be interviewed post fight IMO.

Maybe he should have perhaps not taken the fight and made it clear he felt Barrossa was too old of a fighter to be in the ring ? Everybody got what they wanted out of that fight and he was part of that whole deal. he would have got more respect if he stood in the ring and said "no way when the old man got into the ring. Weeks will do just fine after that mess in the ring and all concerned will also move on with no lose of any kind bc they put an old man in the ring who was old for a 40 year old, only reason who looked capable was bc he was fighting someone who is nothing in the ring and never will be anything in the ring. You can not clean this thing up let it stand people have mostly forgot or dont care already. boxing answere's to boxing and only boxing.
