That takes a large set to do.
Devin Haney has been a 140lb Jr Welterweight for years, his real talent is the ability to shrink down long enough to qualify to fight smaller men, preferably boxers. Bill Haney's talent is his uncanny ability to selectively match at the right time and the first time Bill is wrong his son gets exposed.

Has Haney announced he is moving up and I missed it or something? Thought he wanted Stevenson or Davis before he decided?

Devin has zero power and a jab, Progrias will walk straight to Devin and unload until he hears Devin making high pitch noises on impact. By the 6th round Devin will start to sustain career changing damage but not worry.... Bill Haney will never allow Progrias to dismantle his son that fight will never happen.
He has to go up, because the weight draining will catch up to him very soon! I think he'll be at his physical best @ 140, and maybe that will improve his performance? If he starves down to fight Tank, he gets KO'd! If he starves down to fight Shakur, Shakur wins by UD! He has no choice but to move up! I believe Hearn, that Haney made the call, so let's see what happens!

Josh Taylor barely beat Regis, by a hair. I don’t see anyone easily boxing circles around him.

Haney struggles at 140. His pillow fists will be a major issue. If a jab isn't hiding a punch which will be respected the jab itself loses most of its utility. Prograis might lose a few rounds because of the speed difference but once he starts connecting in the later rounds it's a wrap. The real question is who does Haney open up 140 against?

Where else would Mr. Haney go? I think you and I would understand why he would rather lose to an established guy rather than guys like Jamaine Ortiz, Zepeda, Muratalla, Isaac Cruz, etc. The defeat would be far more humiliating.

There are stay-busy fights for him like Commey, Nakatani, Pedraza, Ramirez, etc. Even those guys would give him hell.

I'd like to see this fight. It'll take Prograis a few rounds to get a handle on Haney's timing and then he'll turn it up from the mid rounds. Let's see if not having to shrink down to 135 will help Haney gain power, at least enough to make Prograis respect what's coming after the jabs.

Haney is in the same boat as Canelo there are dangerous sharks swimming in both divisions they want to compete in.

I have to give Haney a lot of credit, where a lot of credit is due, because he's shown a lot of heart/character. He went twice to his opponent's country and decisively beat him, taking Kambosos championship title's in their first fight. Then he fought fought Lomachenko who had avoided him for years, and defeated him albeit by controversial decision. Although it was a controversial decision, all three judges scored it for Haney. Now he's calling out Prograis, that would be a high risk fight for the light punching Haney. Unless making same weight of 135 pounds, since he was 16 years old, had weakened his punching power. If gaining 5 pounds some how helps his power output, then he stands a chance in a fight against Prograis. If not there's no amount of boxing skills that help Haney beat Prograis, and like 'Rougarou' stated he will hurt Haney if they ever do fight.
