  • Comments Thread For: Regis Prograis Warns Devin Haney: "I Really Think I Hurt Him"

For lack of better words, Devin Haney has always shown to have a huge set of cajones. For the 24-year-old, he's craved the big stage and the bright lights. And while he feels as though he was forced to wait a bit longer than he wanted, when he was given the opportunity, he ran with it.

Haney has cojones? What are talking about?

    He's fought nobody.
    A shot Linares (Loma's leftovers).
Loma was old, small and slow and still hurt him.
    Kambosos is not world class.
Jojo Diaz is not a lightweight and made Haney look average at best.

      Loma is still world class.
Kambosos proved his world class ability.
And Haney fought Kambosos in his home country...twice.
That takes a large set to do.

I hope we get this fight! Prograis may be stronger tham Loma, but not nearly as fast with his hands, nor his feet! Looking forward to seeing Haney at 140! I think it will be his best weight class! I don't see 147 in his prime!

i doubt it... i dont think the 140 guys are much good, haney should be able to box rings around them, 140lbs has always been for fighters who arent good enough to fight at welter or lightweight (unless you are just passing through the division with a view to moving up)

I do think Regis hurts him. He isn’t a pillow puncher like Lomachenko.

The only thing worse than the 140lb guys, are the guys that can't even compete at 140lbs so they shrink down for 10 minutes so they can qualify to fight the much, much smaller guys.

Just to be clear, Bill Haney will never, ever allow Prograis to dismantle his son. Bill will wait to see if Teo beats Taylor and what's left of Taylor and either resign with Arum or continue fighting old spent names. FYI, Haney isn't fighting Tank or Shakur or Regis Prograis, Jack Catterall or any other top 5 Jr Welter because Devin will take a beating and Bill knows it.

Seriously? Regis exchanged with Jose Zepeda taking thunderous shots until he put Jack down. There is a reason that Devin starved himself to make lightweight knowing that his optimum weight was 10 lbs north..

Devin has zero power and a jab, Progrias will walk straight to Devin and unload until he hears Devin making high pitch noises on impact. By the 6th round Devin will start to sustain career changing damage but not worry.... Bill Haney will never allow Progrias to dismantle his son that fight will never happen.

Prograis would absolutely wreck Haney. Guy had a huge weight advantage at 135 and was still unable to buzz anyone while he was get getting rocked by midgets. He gets crushed at 140 by guys like Prograis, Matias, and Taylor.
